Disabled Comedian stars at Mardi Gras in Australia
By Robyn Hunt (robyn@iecho.co.nz)

Disabled gay comedian Philip Patston had star billing at the Sydney Mardi Gras in February.

He was the headline act in the Mardi Gras' Comedy Showcase at an event which features on the international calendar of gay, lesbian and transgender celebrations.

Patston, a New Zealander who has performed at several international disability Arts Festivals is a self-confessed gay vegetarian with a wheelchair addiction.

We hear his performances at the bar featured in the movie, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, were also well received. Patston hopes to return to Sydney to perform at the Mardi Gras next year.
