Disability Research Institute Position Announcement: Post-Doctoral Research Associate

Description
The Disability Research Institute (DRI) at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign is seeking a qualified individual to work asa Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The Institute is supported by a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA). The initial appointment is for one year and will be renewable for a second year pending continued funding of the agreement. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and submission of papers and proposals related to disability policy; Construct and maintain DRI research and reference databases; Update staff on developments and current issues in disability research; Coordinate group participation in technical meetings; Facilitate collaborations between staff and researchers from other institutions; Provide liaison assistance with the funding agency; Participate in responding to SSA quick-response requests for information; and Perform other duties as assigned.

Starting Date: No later than June 15, 2003

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Qualifications: Ph.D. in a field related to disability
