New Pakistan Disability Magazine Invites Contributors
Introduction
Monthly Pakistan Special is the only magazine in the history of Pakistan,
which is being published by a group of journalists, for the welfare and
betterment of over 10 million handicapped people of the country. The basic
purpose of publishing the magazine is to provide a common platform to the most
deprived community of the society.
It is observed that handicapped community, in the third world in general and
in Pakistan in particular is deprived of information, recreations,
entertainment, social services, guidelines and other facilities, which could
lead them to minimize their sufferings and make them an active part of the
society.
The magazine was first launched in June 2000 and since then it is being
published regularly. So far we have total eight issues in our hand.
Furthermore, its circulation is also rapidly increasing day by day and it is
gaining popularity among the common people in general and among the
handicapped community in particular.
The magazine covers a broad spectrum of topics including information,
education, recreation, entertainment, youth's activities, social services
including employment, matrimonial and monitory help etc. The main theme of all
the topics revolve around the handicapped community.
You are also welcome to contribute for the monthly magazine Pakistan Special.
We also required voluntary Correspondents who could write for us or conduct
interviews of prominent challenged personalities of the world. Please send us
your articles, write-ups feature, success stories, sports activities,
scholarships, special courses etc but all related to handicapped people.
As the magazine is a non-funded project and is being published on self-help
basis therefore, we would also like to have your cooperation for supporting
the noble cause.
Advertisements or Special Supplements could also minimize our financial
problems.
