Update on European Assistive Technology Conference, Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2001
The 6th European Conference for the Advancement of Assistive Technology is being held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, September 3-6, 2001. Details are available on the web at http://AAATE2001.ir-rs.si
Following is the welcome message of Prof. Crt Marincek, Chairman of the Organizing Committee:
"After the five conferences organized in the European Union member states-the Netherlands, Sweden, Greece, Portugal and Germany-the AAATE 2001 is nowfor the first time being held in a country which is one of the most prospective candidates for entrance into the EU. "After the registration and welcome reception on September 2, each day will begin with plenary sessions in which the invited speakers will present their views on selected topics. These will be followed by parallel sessions where experts from 27 countries will present reviewed and accepted papers on 25 most relevant topics, based on research, development and application in the field of Assistive Technology. "A nearly 700 page book entitled Assistive Technology-Added Value to the Quality of Life, containing the papers presented to this conference, will be published by IOS Press Amsterdam. All registered participants will receive this book as part of the conference materials . . . We look forward to seeing you in Ljubljana."
