Japan and the Colombian Federation of the Deaf teach by using sign language

Colombian deaf children learn Colombian Sign Language through educational materials provided by the "Libros de Lengua de Señas para Niños Sordos"( Sign Language Book for Deaf Children). Japan's embassy and the Colombian National Federation of the Deaf are preparing themselves to provide the children from several regions in the country with 1,100 educational packets. Children from the Quindío, Chocó, Caquetá, Guajira, Arauca, Casanare, Putumayo, San Andrés, Guaviare, Amazonas and Vichada departments shall be benefited by them.

Tutoring Workshops for parents, teachers and academics and undergraduates are being organized.
