The Third Annual Conference on Videoconference Technology in Deaf Education
Tucson, Arizona; March 11 - 12, 2002
Gallaudet University, The Arizona Schools for the Deaf and Blind, and the California School for the Deaf - Riverside will hold the Third Annual Conference on Videoconference Technology in Deaf Education. This year's conference will take place on the campus of the Arizona School for the Deaf in Tucson March 10th and 11th. Since the first conference was held at the Texas School for the Deaf videoconference technology has changed drastically. The quality, clarity and cost of videoconferencing transformed it into a valuable tool. As the technology has improved, so have the applications. Teachers and Administrators in deaf schools, mainstream programs and advocacy organizations have integrated videoconferencing into their programs. This year's conference will have keynote presentations on the emergence of H.323 protocols, the integration of videoconferencing and wed casting, distance education and numerous other applications. Updates to the conference schedule can be seen on the conference web site. Registration to this year's conference is limited, so please register as soon as possible.
