Progress in technology opens new possibilities for improving the lives of people. One of these opportunities from technological development is the Talking Book.
This program of the National Institute for the Blind of Colombia responds to the need of making information available for persons with visual disabilities. The Institute digits the material pursuant to standard international norms of the DAISY Consortium (an international organization uniting agencies from around the world and whose purpose is ti establish standards for digital books presentations).
The following titles are now in digital Talking Book Format: "Doce Cuentos peregrinos" , Gabriel García Márquez and "El Villorrio" by William Faulkner.
