New Training Manual for Disability, Development and Humanitarian Organizations
Oxfam in association with Action on Disability and Development has published a new training manual, "Disability, Equality, and Human Rights: A Training manual for Development and Humanitarian Organisations," by Alison Harris and Sue Enfield. The manual is designed to be used by disabled people's organizations, local or national, seeking to raise awareness and put disability equality into action among membership and in the broader community as well as by the humanitarian and development community, seeking to promote disability equality, both internally within their own organizations and externally with partners and beneficiaries. The
material included aims to be practical and suitable for trainers working in remote locations with limited resources. Most of the exercises can be adapted for use in groups of people having a wide range of disabilities and educational backgrounds. For more information, visit www.oxfam.org.uk/publications.
