Society for Disability Studies Announces Deadlines for Awards & Papers

Contributions are invited for the Irving K. Zola Award for Emerging Scholars in Disability Studies and are due November 15. Prof. Zola of Brandeis University was the founding president of SDS in the late 1980s. Original contributions on a topic relevant to disability studies, not previously published and not exceeding 30 pages, must be emailed as Word attachments to both the following addresses: jholst2@uic.edu and cg16@uic.edu with "Irving K. A Call for Papers has been issued for the SDS 17th annual conference, June 3-6, 2004 in St. Louis, Missouri and the deadline is December 15.¾ A full description of the conference theme and program is available on the SDS website: www.uic.edu/orgs/sds Abstracts of 250 words are requested for proposals of all formats of presentations including papers, panel sessions, workshops & presentations (video, performance, literary reading).
