Pathways 6 Conference Expression of Interest & Call for Papers

We invite your participation in the Pathways 6 Conference, which will be held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from 1-4 December 2002. It is the premier conference in Australia for professionals who work with students with disabilities in education, and for students with disabilities.
The Pathways 6 Conference will focus on issues of access, participation and outcomes for students with disabilities in education and training settings. The theme 'Inclusive Education Through Universal Access' has been chosen to highlight the progression of inclusive practices in education for students with disabilities and to build frameworks for implementing these practices in a range of environments.
The conference program will feature a number of outstanding local and international speakers, concurrent sessions and poster presentations. The Conference attracts delegates from all around Australia and provides a wonderful opportunity to meet and extend contacts in education and to explore and address the challenges and identified barriers for people with disabilities in education and training.

Submission of Abstracts
The Conference Committee invites the submission of abstracts for papers/workshops/posters to be considered for presentation at the Conference. Please indicate your interest in doing so by mailing, emailing or faxing the attached form to the Conference Organiser (contact details under "Conference Organiser").
The entire abstract should be about 250 words and typed in 12 point, Arial. Please ensure that the names of the author/s are italicised and that the presenting author/s name is underlined. You should also send your full contact details with your abstract. Abstracts should be submitted by email as an attached document in Microsoft Word to pathways@iceaustralia.com
It is essential that the Conference Organisers receive your abstract by Wednesday 6th February 2002. You will be advised of the status of your abstract by Thursday 14th March 2002.
Following an evaluation of abstracts, successful contributors will be required to submit a full copy of their papers by Thursday 12th September 2002.
Review criteria will include relevance, originality of ideas, significance, accuracy and quality of presentation. Accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

The Registration / Accommodation Brochure (which will include the program at a glance and details on all hotels that have reserved accessible rooms) will be distributed in June 2002. To ensure that you receive a copy, please complete and return the attached Expression of Interest Form to the Conference Organiser (contact details below).
