Thailand: 500 Disability Advocates Demonstrate in Bangkok against Employment Discrimination
On the morning of Nov 27, 2001, approximately 500 people with disabilities and our supporters gathered in front of the Government House.
We strongly requested the government to amend or abolish 26 laws which discriminate against people with disabilities In the area of employment.
We also seized the area inside the Parliament and asked to meet with representatives of the House's Commission on Labour and Social Welfare.

We take the opportunity to conduct public education to a group of students who were on a study visit to the Parliament.
After gaining an understanding about discriminatory practice against people with disabilities, the students cheered us on and and wished us success.
