The Academic Council of the National University of Colombia has approved the Masters Program on Social Inclusion. This new academic option is made available to professionals wishing to know about disability within the broader social context.

What is the profile for the Students of the Masters Program on Social Exclusion?
The study of disability from a social perspective demands analysis of the contributions made by diverse scientific and technology fields and knowledge gathered from different regions of the world. Candidates must be university professionals from the humanities, social communication, health, education, economy, politics and legal sciences, but also, persons from welfare, recreation, engineering, arts, architecture and industrial design.

The Masters Program's philosophy supports the principles of non-discrimination on the basis of race, gender, nationality, religion or disability.

Also, candidates must demonstrate:
  • Motivation and commitment toward the cause of persons with disabilities.
  • Interest and high expectation towards research on disability and social issues.
  • Proficiency in the English language
How many places are offered?
The Master's Program on Disability and Social Inclusion will work on semester courses. The admission will be every four semesters; with a new group of a maximum of 20 students every two years.
