Media That Matters Film Festival
DEADLINE: All entries must be received by February 6, 2003
Apply to MediaRights.org's third annual Media That Matters Film Festival,
co-presented by the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival,
launching June 2003, streaming online all year long, and shown on the
FreeSpeechTV satellite channel.
This is a juried festival that celebrates films, videos, and new media that
inspire people to speak out and take action for social change. Selected
works will be seen by thousands of activists, educators and librarians.
Film and video works must be a maximum of 8 minutes in length.
Documentaries, animation, games, music videos, interactive online projects,
PSA's and youth productions are welcome.
MediaRights.org, a nonprofit organization, helps media makers, educators,
librarians, nonprofits, and activists use documentaries to encourage action
and inspire dialogue on contemporary social issues.
THERE IS NO SUBMISSION FEE
WE WILL BE GRANTING AT LEAST THREE AWARDS OF $1,000 EACH TOWARDS THE
DISTRIBUTION AND OUTREACH OF EXCEPTIONAL FILMS OR VIDEOS.
