Disabled Hellas

Disabled Hellas is the largest collection of disability and rehabilitation related articles and books in the Greek language. At this time there are online:

1. Six books by writers with disabilities,
2. Disability Now magazine,
3. 332 articles and large text files.

Disabled Hellas is a non profit organization, which aims to distribute all the available disability-related information and to empower Greeks with disabilities with the appropriate technical knowledge and skills to manage their needs and to reconstruct their lives.

The archive is accessible and it is available on the following media:
1. in Internet http://www.disabled.gr/
2. on a CD-ROM (for the people who does not have internet access) and
3. in print.

On Disabled Hellas we have online many articles and books related to:
1. Spinal Cord Injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, Paraplegia, Quadriplegia and Brain Injuries
2. Independent Living, Attendant Care and educational material for Rehabilitation Nurses
3. Adaptive Technology, Computers and utilities
4. UTIs and management of the neurogenic bladder
5. Rehabilitation Aids, Wheelchairs, hoists, furniture
6. Sexuality, Sex Therapy, Surrogate Sex Therapy, Accessible Aids

Disabled Hellas is run solely by volunteers. Most are living with disabilities. Disabled Hellas does not receive financial support from the Greek Government or any other private or public source.
