U.K. Seminar Series on "New Directions in Disability"

The Disability Research Unit at the University of Leeds has announced a fall series of seminars on the theme, "New Directions in Disability," beginning October 11. Topics include the interdisciplinary future of research concerning disabled children and young people; relationship between activism and the academy, the psycho-emotional dimensions of disability and developing the social model of disability.

The first session, entitled, "The International Disability Rights Movement," will be presented October 11 by Rachael Hurst, project director, Disability Awareness in Action.
