Access to public buildings and businesses in Portugal

The National Secretariat of Rehabilitation and Integration for the Disabled (SNRIPD) in Portugal, is in the process of building a database, which contains information regarding access to public buildings throughout the country (according to Law Decree #123, Accessibility).

This national database continues to be revised and expanded. The information contained is based on responses received to direct inquiries sent to public buildings or private businesses including public administration buildings, hotels, clinics, banks, pharmacies, etc. This research throughout all Districts in the continent and Portuguese Autonomous Regions has led to cataloguing all responses as featuring total (T), or partial (P) accessibility.
