Global Rights Campaign

As some of you may already know Disability Awareness in Action (DAA) has launched the Global Rights Campaign. The aim of the Global Rights Campaign is to persuade the United Nations that there is a need for an international Convention to protect the rights of disabled people.

To achieve this aim we need to produce strong supporting evidence. DAA wants disabled people, representative organisations, and supporters to contact us about your experience of what it means to be disabled in 2000.

DAA will then present a bound copy of your testimonies to the UN on the 3rd December 2000 - International Day of Disabled People

More details about the Global Rights Campaign are available from our home page (http://www.daa.org.uk/).

Please send this message to everyone you know because the Global Rights Campaign can only be successful with your active support so please send us your testimony in whatever form as soon as possible or by the latest - 30th October 2000.
