European Conference of Ministers of Transport Adopts Charter on Access To Transport

The new Charter adopted by the ECMT requires that public funding of transit projects be made conditional on achieving satisfactory progress with the inclusion of access features.  The European Commission receiving this recommendation is a major source of funding for transportation projects in central and eastern Europe.
