Equal Opportunities for International Experiences

From studying for a year in France to teaching English in China to volunteering on conservation projects in Costa Rica to conducting research in Zimbabwe, the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange can provide information on how people with disabilities can make these possibilities a reality.

Funded by the United States Information Agency (USIA) and operated by Mobility International USA (MIUSA), the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange is a collaboration with 16 international exchange and disability-related organizations.

Publications include a free semi-annual journal, "A World Awaits You", featuring people with disabilities who have
successfully participated in international exchanges, and Building Bridges: A Manual on Including People with Disabilities in International Exchange Programs. Another publication, A World of Options: A Guide to International Exchange, Community Service and Travel for Persons with Disabilities provides information, stories, and contacts on a wide range of topics.
