This conference will examine the ways in which signed languages have and continue to reform our notions of what constitutes human language, literary production, and the basic definitions of literacy and will feature an assembly of international scholars renowned for their research on linguistics, sociolinguistics, literature, literacy and Deaf people, and all other aspects of the study of sign languages.
