  • Action and Disability and Development - U.K. based Association for Disability & Development, working with disabled people's organizations in 12 of the poorest countries in Africa and Asia "to produce positive change."
  • Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability - Founded in 2002, the Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability, based in Thailand, is a technical assistance project of the government of Japan and the government of Thailand. Site features news, training courses & information resources.
  • Associazione Italiana Amici di Raoul Follereau - Based in Bologna, AIFO is an Italian non-governmental organization working in projects and training courses concerning community based rehabilitation in poor countries and those affected by leprosy. Also houses the electronic version of the Asia Pacific Disability & Rehabilitation Journal and other publications on CBR, available via PDF downloads.
  • Disability.dk - This new Danish web site offers information about disabilities in several developing countries; maintained by the Danish Disability Council.
  • Enabling Education Network - The site of the Enabling Education Network, promoting educational inclusion of all marginalized groups. You can also search through their extensive Portuguese and Spanish documentation on the practice of inclusive education.
  • End of Polio - Brazilian photojournalist Sebastiao Salgado documents the countdown to the end of polio, tracking international eradication efforts in Somalia, Sudan, India, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Pakistan.
  • Equip K.I.D.S. International - Equip K.I.D.S. (Kids In Developing Societies) International is a non-sectarian, non-governmental, grassroots, charitable organization dedicated to helping children with disabilities around the world reach their full potential.
  • FAO Database on the Rural Disabled - This is a web site and database on projects and resources concerning rural disabled people around the world, originated and maintained by the UN's Food and Agricultural Organization, based in Rome.
  • Handicap International - Headquartered in France, working primarily in developing and poor countries on three priorities, "treatment, prevention and integration."
  • Health Wrights - Site devoted to community based rehabilitation, assistive devices for use in developing countries and a collection of books and papers written by David Werner, including the classic Disabled Village Children.
  • Healthlink Worldwide - A UK based site, now providing SOURCE, an international information center supporting health & disability activities worldwide.
  • Mobility International USA - US-based NPO engaged in "international exchange ... technical assistance and training, and ... the inclusion of people with disabilities in international exchange and development programs.
  • The Communication Initiative - The comprehensive website of the Communications Initiative, a partnership of groups working on public education and communication interventions for positive international development.
  • The World Bank and Disability - The site of the World Bank's Disability and Development team, providing information about disability-related topics, statistics, policies, and news from various regions.
  • USAID Disability Policy - U.S. Agency for International Development's site containing its disability policy, annual reports about implementation of policy, and related articles & links.
  • Whirlwind Wheelchair International - WWI is a "communications hub" with information about wheelchair-producing workshops in developing countries, wheelchair building classes, Whirlwind Women, and more.
