  • All About Multiple Sclerosis - All About Multiple Sclerosis aims to provide accurate and comprehensive medical information about multiple sclerosis (MS) written in plain English by people living with the disease and its symptoms. It contains a detailed description of multiple sclerosis, an archive of news stories about MS, an MS encyclopedia and a large links section containing hundreds of commented and rated links.
  • Autism Europe - The web site of a well-developed European network of organizations and research groups involved with autism.
  • Autistic Society - "New website focusing on Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Offering supportive and friendly community for parents and families. Also providing news, photo-art gallery, variety of information and interactivity."
  • Dangerwood - Survivingparalysis.com is a community based web site that provides helpful information to people suffering from a spinal cord injury or paralysis.
  • End of Polio - Brazilian photojournalist Sebastiao Salgado documents the countdown to the end of polio, tracking international eradication efforts in Somalia, Sudan, India, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Pakistan.
  • Epilepsy Foundation of America - The Epilepsy Foundation will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through research, education, advocacy and services.
  • FELAC - FELAC, The Latin American Federation of Autism offers updated information for parents or professionals who speak Spanish. The site offers information on the many issues of autism, such as diagnosis, family support, research, treatment, education, drugs, and other related topics. There are also links to sites offering related content.
  • HebrewVisions.org - HebrewVisions.org, sponsored by JBI International, is a free service dedicated to making Hebrew texts accessible to Braille users. Many texts and books have been preformatted, and can be downloaded in Braille format to be sent to an embosser. There is also a translation program, which allows users to convert Hebrew text to Braille for embossing or reading on a Braille display.
  • Inclusion International - Based in France, II brings together 200 organizations in 115 countries to "better the lives of the 60 million people in the world with intellectual disabilities."
  • Mad Chicks - Mad Chicks is a new movement, which focuses on issues specific to women mental health service users, using creativity to achieve our aims and attract attention to our causes. We have developed from within MadPride, an international user-led movement which challenges discrimination and misinformation in relation to mental health and celebrates mad culture.
  • Manolo.Net - An Internet portal dedicated to assistive technology and useful information related to the issues of disability for Spanish speakers. The site was developed by a Puerto Rican blind man who works for the Assistive Technology Program at the Central Administration Department of the University of Puerto Rico. Manolo.net integrates current best practice of accessibility by providing a website that is fully accessible to vision impaired users.
  • Mental Disability Advocacy Center - The Mental Disability Advocacy Center (MDAC) is an international organization that promotes and protects human rights of people with mental health problems and/or intellectual disabilities (hereafter people with mental disability) in twenty-eight countries of central and eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, and Mongolia. The goal of MDAC is to improve the quality of life for individuals by advocating public policies that respect human rights and promote community integration.
  • Mind Freedom - The site of U.S. based Support Coalition International, an advocacy group for "human rights of people in the psychiatric system," composed of 100 grassroots organizations in 14 countries.
  • MSUniversity - A comprehensive site explaining multiple sclerosis through courses ranging from the respiratory and digestive systems to history and causes to research and treatments. A unique approach to understanding a discrete disability.
  • Multiple Sclerosis Central Support - The MS Central Support website is devoted to issues of Multiple Sclerosis; the site includes MS information, a Support Forum, Conference Room, Internet E-Mail Pals, and a Storyteller area where members can post an original story, poem, or quote.
  • National Alliance for Autism Research - Established in 1994 by parents of children with autism concerned about the limited amount of funding available for autism research, NAAR was created in a spirit of optimism and excitement over the opportunities for accelerating the pace of autism research.
