- Equality Commission for Northern Ireland
- 2003 Research report on “Disabled Women in Northern Ireland: Situation, Experience and Identity” published by the Equality Commission of Northern Ireland. This is one of the Commission’s “Identity Report” series and others are “Black & Minority Disabled Persons in Northern Ireland” and “Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Disabled Persons in Britain.”
- Mad Chicks
- Mad Chicks is a new movement, which focuses on issues specific to women mental health service users, using creativity to achieve our aims and attract attention to our causes. We have developed from within MadPride, an international user-led movement which challenges discrimination and misinformation in relation to mental health and celebrates mad culture.
- Setting Them Free
- An article about a collaborative participatory action research project, which means that instead of just being research subjects, they were active participants in the process. The project started in 1998, when MRC-funded researchers from the University of Cape Town, the SACLA Health Project (a non-governmental primary health care organisation) and the Western Cape Provincial Disabled Women’s Development Programme of Disabled People South Africa (DPSA) organised a series of workshops.

- Violence and Disabled Women
- A European Union sponsored study of “Violence and Disabled Women” in four countries: Denmark, Germany, Spain and Sweden. The article has received little exposure beyond Europe, but has valuable information and commentaries.
- Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA)
- Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA) is the peak organisation for women with all types of disabilities in Australia. It is a federating body of individuals and networks in each State and Territory of Australia and is made up of women with disabilities and associated organisations.
